West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee Tuesday admitted that the 'do it now' slogan, which he coined soon after assuming his office to expedite work, may not have worked in many areas in reality.

He hinted so during the agreement signing ceremony between Texmaco and United Group Rail of Australia in Kolkata on Tuesday.

When Texmaco CEO R Maheswari told Buddhadeb that the delegations from the Australian firm, which visited the company's works here, were delighted to see the 'do it now' slogan pasted at various spots inside the factory. To which Buddhadeb responded, "You have been successful, but I have failed in certain areas."

However, he didn't explain how and where exactly he failed.
