A Central Industrial Security Force jawan was killed in Gaya by a colleague for trying to outrage the modesty of his wife and daughter.

Ashok Sharma, a CISF constable posted at Dhanbad in neighbouring Jharkhand, was killed by colleague Satyendra Sharma at new colony under Delha police station in Gaya on Thursday night and his body was found in a pool of blood on Friday morning, Superintendent of Police Amit Jain told PTI.

He said though the family of Satyendra, who is also posted at Dhanbad, initially claimed he accidentally fell to his death from the roof of the house, they later admitted that the constable was done to death by Satyendra who is absconding, after he tried to outrage the modesty of his wife and daughter in a drunken state.

Though there were several injury marks on the body of the victim, the type of weapon was used for the crime will be known only after post-mortem.

A search is on for Satyendra, Jain said.
