A man filed a complaint in Kolkata on Tuesday claiming that Ashok Todi, the prime accused in the Rizwanur case, broke up his marriage with Todi's brother-in-law's Santosh Murarka's daughter Spriha.

Tarapada Hazra, a former driver of Todi's friend Sanjay Murarka, claimed that he married Spriha in April this year. He has filed a complaint with the North Biddhanagar police station claiming that he was forcibly separated from his wife.

Hazra alleged that Ashok Todi and Murarka were responsible for breaking up his marriage.

Stating that a case has been registered, Inspector in-charge of North Bidhannagar police station Deboprasad Pan said, "We have received a complaint from Hazra who claims that Todi and Murarka forcibly separated them and unlawfully detained his wife Spriha."

Hazra, a resident of Chowkwani in Patashpur at East Midnapore claimed in his complaint that he had married Spriha on April 30 this year at his village.

According to him, Murarka and Todi arrived at the village the next day with two people who claimed to be police officers.

They asked Hazra to leave his wife, but he refused. Todi and Murarka then asked Spriha to return to them and come back to Hazra after a few days.

However, Spriha never came back and Hazra was not allowed to meet her no avail.
