In a shocking incident, a Central Industrial Security Force personnel shot one of his colleagues during a heated argument before killing himself. The incident took place within the premises of the Brahmaputra Valley Fertiliser Corporation Limited at Namrup in Dibrugarh district of Upper Assam on Friday.

The police informed that CISF havildar M Sharma died on the spot after his colleague constable Balai Kundu fired several rounds at him from his self-loading service rifle during a heated argument.

Kundu was also seriously injured when he shot himself in the head. He later died in the Assam Medical College Hospital in Dibrugarh.
