Army foils infiltration bid at LoC

Three terrorists were killed as troops foiled an infiltration bid in the Poonch border district of Jammu region on Wednesday.

Police said a group of heavily-armed terrorists attempted an incursion on the Line of Control near Sadra Gali in Poonch district. The terrorists' movement was detected by the troops, who challenged the group. The cornered terrorists opened fire at the troops.

"In the ensuing gun-battle, three infiltrators were killed the spot death," a senior police officer said.

Huge quantity of arms and ammunition, including three AK-47 rifles, 11 hand grenades and a large quantity of ammunition, were recovered from the encounter site.
