Akal Takht, the supreme spiritual and temporal body of Sikhs, on Monday said it has not received any statement from the Dera Sacha Sauda, tendering apology for dressing up like 10th Sikh Guru Gobind Singh.

Akal Takht jathedar Joginder Singh Vedanti told PTI that he had come to know about the apology tendered by Dera head Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh only through the media.

Otherwise, so far the Akal Takht office has not received any letter or draft from the Dera Sacha Sauda sect containing an apology, he said.

Vedanti said that in view of reports published regarding the apology, the meeting of Sikh clergy has been summoned on Tuesday afternoon.

The apology given by Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and all issues related to Dera Sacha Sauda sect would be discussed during the meeting and further course of action announced, he said.
