Hyderabad blast: BJP blames ISI

Bharatiya Janata Party has alleged that Inter Services Intelligence was behind the Meeca Mosque blasts in Hyderabad on Friday afternoon in which five persons were killed and many others injured. This was stated by Prakash Javadekar at a press conference in New Delhi.

"The incident has a grave bearing on our national security. Never before the Meeca Masjid has been attacked by bombs. According to the information available with us two bombs went of simultaneously when the devotees were offering Namaz. Some timer devices were also found. The matter needs to be investigated thoroughly while condemning the violence in which five persons lost their lives," he said.

Rajnath Singh, BJP president, spoke to Punjab chief minister twice and assured him of all help in maintaining law and order in the state. "He stressed that the need of the hour is to restore law and order and investigations into who engineered the violence or who is going to benefit from it can follow later.

The state unit had met chief minister Badal and appealed for restoration of peace immediately and expose the design hatched to destablise the normalcy in the state at a later stage," he said.

Punjab has witnessed unprecedented violence following appearance of Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in the attire of Guru Gobind Singh and distributing amrit to his followers in an advertisement released by hia dera. He had extended full support to the Congress nominees during the recently held state assembly elections.
