Follow Buddha's path for world peace: Kalam

May 02, 2007
Union Minister for Culture Ambika Soni, who was also present, said the government would extend all help to Buddhist institutes. Sri Lankan Minister M Y Varshan was also there.

Kalam later visited Pratapgarh and stressed the need for using modern techniques in the field of farming, animal husbandry and dairy industry to ensure all-round development of the country.

At village Sarai Sultani, about 20 km from Pratapgarh district headquarters, Kalam visited the 'aonla' orchard of one Moinuddin Khan and met his family members.

He also visited 'Lala ki Bagh' 4 km away and had a tour of an animal fair.

Interacting with children in 'Lala ki Bagh', Kalam asked them to take a pledge for completing their education and planting at least five saplings, besides working to ease the sufferings of the poor and the needy.
