In another administrative reshuffle ahead of the coming Assembly polls in compliance with Election Commission directives, the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday transferred seven IPS and two IAS officers.

While K L Meena and Rajiv Ranjan Verma have been made DIGs of Gorakhpur and Allahabad zones, Chandra Prakash will be the DIG of Moradabad, Home Secretary R M Srivastava said in Lucknow.

Dayashankar Singh has been made IG of Lucknow zone while Jyoti Narain will be the new SSP of Lucknow, he said.

Sachi Ghildiyal will be the SP of Maharajganj and Rajiv Krishna has been made SSP Bareilly.

While Prabhash Kumar has been made Commissioner of Jhansi division, Ashish Goel is posted as district magistrate of Allahabad.

All the IPS officers have been attached to the DGP office, whereas the DM of Allahabad Hari Om and division commisioner of Jhansi Kumar Kamlesh have been put on the wait list, M Srivastava said.
