All four French nationals, who were on a heli-skiing expedition in Sonamarg area of the Kashmir valley, were found alive on Saturday after their helicopter crashed, officials said.

The chopper belonging to a private tour operator and registered in the Philippines crashed in Dachigam on Friday after losing contact with the ground control staff.

The French tourists led by ace heli-skiier Sylvian Saudan were on an expedition in the region. The other persons were Julian Coubas, Diana Schlegel and M Lucian.

While Saudan is still inside the chopper, three others were taken to a nearby CRPF camp, officials said.
