SC adjourns Quattrocchi case by 4 weeks

March 16, 2007 12:36 IST

The Supreme Court on Friday adjourned for four weeks hearing on a PIL seeking extradition to India of Bofors payoff accused Ottavio Quattrocchi, presently facing extradition proceedings in Argentina.

A Bench of Justice C K Thakkar and V S Sirpurkar adjourned the matter after Additional Solicitor General Gopal Subramaniam said that an Argentine court would decide on India's request for extraditing Quattrocchi on March 23.

The Bench refused to dispose off the contempt petition filed by advocate Ajay Aggarwal against CBI director Vijay Shanker and another officer on the matter.
