A Ghaziabad court on Thursday extended the judicial remand of Moninder Singh Pandher and Surender Koli, the two suspects in the Nithari killings, for another 14 days.

Pandher and Koli were produced before the court on Thursday as their remand ended and Special Judge Sapna Misra extended the remand till March 29.

District Magistrate M K S Sundaram told PTI that security of Dasna jail, where Pandher and Koli are lodged, has been heightened.

They have been kept in separate cells, he added.

Jail inmates had tried to assault them on 30 December last year.

The police had on December 29 last year recovered skulls and human remains from a drain behind Pandher's D-5, Sector 31 residence in Noida, unearthing the serial killings of children and women allegedly by him and his domestic help Koli.
