The area commander of Bangladesh-based terrorist organisation Harkat-ul-Jehad Islami, arrested in Uttar Pradesh last week, has sent over 150 Indian youngsters to Balochistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, investigators who questioned him have claimed.

Two Huji terrorists were arrested in Lucknow on Saturday.

UP Police's Special Task Force, which arrested the terrorists, also seized 9 kg RDX, 10 detonators, 20 hand grenades, one Chinese pistol, one AK-47 rifle and a large number of cartridges from the duo.

Jalaluddin alias Amanullah Mandal alias Babu Khan is the 'area commander' of the militant outfit and belongs to Bhilpara locality of West Bengal's 24 Paraganas South district.

''He had confessed to sending 150 Indian youths to Kotli in PoK and Balochistan for tranining. They were apparently sent to Pakistan via Bangladesh,'' an investigator said.

The intelligence agencies were now trying to ascertain the identities of the 'recruits.' The UP police on its part was trying to find out the number of youth from the state sent to traning camps across the border.

Youths from Malaysia, South Africa and Sudan too were trained in these camps.

The other terrorist has been identified as Naushad of Chak Uday Chand village in UP's Bijnore district.

Babu has reportedly confessed to have supplied explosives for the 2005 Varanasi serial blasts. The names of the two had also figured in the confessional statements of two terrorists Yaqub and Nasir who were arrested on June 21.

Babu had sent his man to execute the Varanasi blast. His name had also figured in the Shramjeevi blast incident.

The terrorist had developed ''contacts'' in most parts of the country, including Maharashtra and Gujarat. Babu's main job was to provide explosives to terror modules and select targets for them.

He had received training at terror camp in Pakistan and has been associated with HuJI since 2001.

Babu was also involved in the sensational 2001 kidnapping case of Khadim Shoe Company's owner Partho Burman.
