What are you doing to protect environment? June 05, 2007
June 5 is world environment day. The day holds more relevance in the 21st century than ever before. Sea-level rise and human development are together contributing to loss of coastal wetlands and mangroves, and increasing damage from coastal flooding in many areas, says the report. Within the next two to three decades, it is projected that the Himalayan glacier would melt leading to increased flooding, and rock avalanches from destabilised slopes. It would also affect water resources within the next two to three decades. The situation is grim but can be rectified. How have you been contributing to protect the environment?
