In yet another fratricidial killing in the armed forces, an army jawan was shot dead by his senior after an argument in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, defence officials said.

A lancenaik of 13 Sikh Light Infantry battalion got into a verbal duel with sepoy Malkeet Singh of the same unit at an army camp in Bhimber Gali area around 11.50 pm on Sunday night, they told PTI.

Soon after the Lance Naik took out his rifle and shot Singh. Senior army officers and other jawans rushed to the area and took him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.
