Doctor Mohammed Haneef, who has been absolved of terror charges, arrived in Bangalore on Sunday night.

Haneef had left for India via Bangkok on a Thai Airways flight along with his lawyer Peter Russo and relative Imran Siddiqui on Saturday night from Brisbane after Australian authorities dropped terror charges against him in connection with the failed UK terror plot.

Haneef's father Ashwaq and brother were at the airport to receive him.

Meanwhile, his family is organising a get-together of close relatives and friends on Sunday night to celebrate his return from Australia.
