The Goa [Images] Assembly was adjourned till Monday amidst noisy protests by members of the ruling Congress-led coalition.

Opposition Goa Democratic Alliance demanded the dismissal of state government by the governor for failing to get financial demands passed in the Assembly.

Ruling Congress party legislator Babu Kavalekar demanded that a disqualification petition against party legislator Victoria Fernandes, who submitted her resignation on Wednesday, should be discussed in the House.

The ruling legislators then rushed to the well of the House.

The BJP-led Goa Democratic Alliance has said it will defeat the Congress-led government, which was reduced to a minority on Wednesday night after three legislators withdrew support, on the floor of the House.
