The Goa [Images] Assembly was adjourned for an hour on Thursday after members of the ruling bench created pandemonium in the House.

Ruling Congress party legislator Babu Kavalekar demanded that a disqualification petition against party legislator Victoria Fernandes, who submitted her resignation on Wednesday, should be discussed in the House.

The ruling legislators then rushed to the well of the House, following which the speaker adjourned the session for
an hour.

The BJP-led Goa Democratic Alliance has said it will defeat the Congress-led government, which was reduced to a
minority om Wednesday night after three legislators withdrew support, on the floor of the House.
