Police has detained a person hailing from Jammu and Kashmir [Images], who was working in Pune as a watchman, for suspected links with a terrorist outfit in his home state.

"The person has been in our custody since Wednesday evening and we are probing his alleged links with a terrorist organisation operating in Jammu and Kashmir," a senior police officer told PTI on Thursday.

"We had received a tip off from official channels about the possibility of the detainee having links with terrorists," he said. "The police are probing his antecedents and ferreting out details about him," the officer added.
