The Uttar Pradesh police on Monday searched the Chandigarh residence of Moninder Singh Pandher, who along with his servant, allegedly sexually abused children and murdered them in Noida.

A five-member team of the Special Operations Group of UP, assisted by Chandigarh police, conducted a thorough search of Pandher's housee.

"They searched the house but found nothing incriminating. No digging inside or around the premises was done," Deputy Superintendent of Chandigarh Police Prem Singh Malik told PTI.

Malik said the search lasted for over an hour and the family members present inside the house were questioned.

Asked if further searches in Chandigarh would be conducted at any other premises of the arrested businessman, a member of the UP police team indicated this may be done, but declined to reveal when or where.

Pandher's house in Chandigarh these days wears a deserted look, with only a pair of dogs visible outside.

A Chandigarh police vehicle remains deployed outside his house. On Sunday, activists belonging to Bajrang Dal raised slogans outside the house, demanding exemplary punishment to Pandher.
