Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday on a three-day official visit to co-chair the revived India-Pakistan joint commission meeting and hold talks with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee on carrying forward the peace process.

He was received at the airport by External Affairs Ministry Secretary (East) N Ravi.

The Pakistan foreign minister is expected to present a fresh set of proposals, including the one on liberalising the 1974 visa regime between the two countries, official sources said, adding that the Siachen issue is also likely to come up during discussions.

Kasuri will call on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday evening.

During the three-day visit, Kasuri will also have a meeting with Hurriyat leaders, including hardliner Ali Shah Gilani, at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi. Both factions of the Hurriyat Conference have been invited for the talks.
