Nine live bombs were seized from the house of a school teacher, a Communist Party of India-Marxist supporter, in the Marxist party's stronghold of Khejuri adjoining Nandigram [Images] on Tuesday evening, a senior Central Reserve Police Force official said.

CRPF Assistant Commandant Arindam Mukherjee said after information was received by the Central force that bombs were hidden in the house of the teacher Abhay Jena, police permission to conduct a raid was sought.

A joint team of the CRPF and police found the bombs at the house of Jena, Mukherjee said. The teacher was arrested, he added.
