A case has been registered under the Arms Act against Azad Yadav, the absconding father of one of the two accused who shot dead his classmate at an elite school in Gurgaon on Monday.

Fourteen-year-old Abhishek Tyagi was killed by two of his classmates who pumped five bullets into him shortly after the school closed yesterday.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Satish Balan said action would be taken against Azad Yadav for negligence. Azad is the father of Akash Yadav, who brought his father's licensed revolver to school and allegedly fired four shots at Abhishek near the staircase and then handed the gun to his friend Vikas who fired another bullet.

The school situated in Sector 45, was, meanwhile, closed for two days.

Satvir Yadav, chairman of the school, said Abhishek was not a bully as reported in a section of the media.
