Hundreds of armed Maoists attacked Sukki village in Bihar's Vaishali district on Monday night killing four persons and injuring a few in the attack.
Police sources in Hajipur, district headquarters of Vaishali, told rediff.com over telephone that armed Maoists had attacked Sukki village and killed four persons.
According to official sources, Maoists attacked Sukki village as the village is dominated by landed upper caste Bhumihars, who used to counter Maoist rebels in the areas.
Police sources said that Maoists had cut off roads connecting Sukki village before they began their attack.
Till the time of filing this report, the police was yet to reach the village.
