Breaking her silence for the first time since her husband Rizwanur Rehman's mysterious death over three months ago, Priyanka Todi has regretted involvement of her brother-in-law Ruqbanur and his friend Pappu in their conjugal life.

"The involvement of Ruqbanur and Pappu in our conjugal life did not work well since we trusted them very much. Otherwise things would not have come to this and end in tragedy," 23-year-old Priyanka, daughter of industrialist Ashok Todi, told a private television channel.

Priyanka, staying at her father's Salt Lake residence before Rizwanur's death on September 21, alleged that her husband was not close to Ruqbanur and had 'fundamental differences' with him.

"After our marriage, Ruqbanur was always with us. Also whenever I met Rizwanur, Pappu used to guide me. He and Ruqbanur managed everything and we trusted them very much," Priyanka said.

Reacting sharply to Priyanka's charge, Ruqbanur said: "I wonder why Priyanka is levelling such charges after so many days. I am certain a conspiracy is in the making to suppress the inquiry to unearth cause of my brother's mysterious death."

Ruqbanur said that CBI probe report will be available soon and will unravel the mystery behind his younger brother's death.

During her telephonic interview with the television channel, Priyanka also recalled that she missed her husband whom she had married on August 18.

"I recall when I asked if he could wait for me, he replied, I will wait for you throughout my life. It is an eternal wait."

Speaking about the death of the computer graphics teacher, she said, "I have no idea how Rizwan died. I do not even want to recapitulate what might have happed to him on that dreadful day. But circumstances leading to his death suggest that he might have been deeply disturbed by certain things that took place between September 19 and 21."

"I only want that facts should come to light," she said.

She also denied being 'under constant pressure' from the police, a charge being investigated by the CBI.

Claiming that Rizwanur was disturbed due to 'pressure' from his own family, Priyanka said that she had expected matters to settle down for them to lead a happy married life.

Priyanka said they had been in touch with Pappu as he was stated to have 'good police connections' for handling 'family matters.' "We followed Pappu's instructions, conveyed through Ruqbanur," she said.

Priyanka alleged that Ruqbanur had made 'some false statements' about her and her family after Rizwanur's death, 'which were really shocking and saddening for her.'

She also took exception to the way her personal belongings were displayed to the media after Rizwanur's death 'at the instance of Rubanur and others.'

Looking back, Priyanka reiterated: "I really now feel it was not wise to involve Ruqbanur, their family and Pappu in our matters. Rizwanur and I should have resolved the differences with my family by ourselves."

Reacting to Priyanka's statements, Rizwanur's mother Kishwar Jahan said: "These are false charges against my family, particularly against my son Ruqbanur."
