Man killed, two injured in blueline bus accident

A man was killed and two others injured when a blueline bus hit them in Central Delhi, the police said on Tuesday.

With this incident, the number of people killed in accidents involving the buses has risen to 123 this year, compared to 109 in 2006.

The deceased has been identified as Chhotu, the police said, adding the accident took place near Nizamuddin flyover on Monday night.

The trio was on a motorcycle when the blueline bus, which was negotiating a curve, hit them. Six people have died due to accidents involving blueline buses in the capital since November 15.

The government told the Parliament that 117 people had been killed by the notorious buses in the capital till November 15, while another 286 were injured.
