US Navy chief visits INS Delhi

Admiral Michael Mullen, Chief of Naval Operations, US Navy, on board INS Delhi, with Rear Admiral Shekhar Sinha, Flag Officer, Western Fleet on Friday.

Admiral Mullen visited the missile destroyer in Mumbai as part of his two-day official visit to the Western Naval Command, starting Thursday.

He earlier inspected a guard of honour at INS Angre, officials said.

He called on the chief of the Western Naval Command, Vice-Admiral Sangram Singh Byce, and was given a presentation on various activities of the Indian Navy's main war-fighting formation.

Mullen was briefed on various activities of the Western Fleet and visited the naval dockyard, officials said.
