A sting operation conducted by television channel Aaj Tak and Tehelka weekly said Maharashtra Director General of Police P S Pasricha was into buying and selling of real estate in the state.

Pasricha has asked why anyone should have problem if he buys properties through a regular dealer at the regular market price.

He asked what the problem was if he had bought property worth Rs 18,000 in Nasik and Rs 2.25 lakh in Aurangabad and informed the income tax about them?

Replying to a question, Pasricha said it was an intelligent investment by a senior police official.

The DGP said he did not have a flat today but some of his colleagues who are indulging in this drama (of charges against him) have flats which are worth Rs 3 crore.
