An estimated 46.97 per cent voters exercised their franchise in the Ramtek Lok Sabha by-election held on Monday, official sources said.

The segment-wise polling percentage of six assembly constituencies are: Morshi - 39.22 per cent, Umrer - 48.88, Katol - 47.61, Kalmeshwar - 43.36, Ramtek - 49.37 and Saoner - 53.22.

The counting will take place on April 12 at APMC Kalmana Market. The by-election was necessitated after sitting Shiv Sena MP Subodh Mohite quit the seat and the party and joined Congress.

Shiv Sena has fielded Prakash Jadhav against Mohite. Ramtek was once represented by Late Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao.
