BJP MLA gets 3 months jail for sealing violation April 10, 2007 12:44 IST
The Supreme Court on Tuesday sentenced Bharatiya Janata Party legislator H S Bali to three months imprisonment for breaking the seals of certain unauthorised structures in Delhi, which were earlier ordered to be sealed by the apex court. A bench headed by Justice Arijit Pasayat imposed the sentence after the MLA who appeared in person stoutly defended his move as worthy of a people's representative.
