For the people of this high-profile constituency, one of the two seats from where Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav is contesting the Assembly polls, the campaigning has proved to be a star-studded affair.

With all major parties going all out in their quest for victory in Bharthana, almost every day at least one helicopter descends from the skies with a star campaigner.

Jaya Bachchan, Jaya Prada, Hema Malini, V P Singh, Akhilesh Yadav, Rahul Gandhi and Raj Babbar are some of the big names that have descended on Bharthana's horizons to rally support for their respective parties.

'Junior B' Abhishek Bachchan is expected to arrive in Bharthana on Thursday.

Amardeep, a teenaged resident of the area, says he has seen "at least 12 helicopters so far" and he is sure that more will come during the ongoing campaign that ends on Thursday.

On Tuesday, there were three high-profile rallies by Bharatiya Janata Party chief Rajnath Singh, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Mulayam Singh Yadav's son and sitting member of Parliament from Bharthana Akhilesh Yadav and actress-turned-politico Hema Malini.

A college dropout Pramod Yadav wants to make the most of the opportunity and meet all the stars. "I want this (Congress rally) to finish fast so that I can catch both the BJP and Samajwadi Party rallies as well," he said.
