A fire broke out on Monday night in the second floor of South Block, which houses the Ministry of External Affairs and the Prime Minister Office.

The blaze was spotted in a computer room on the second floor shortly after 9.45 pm, fire department officials said.

Four fire tenders brought the flames under control, they said, adding that the cause of the fire was suspected to be a short circuit.
