Bhimsen Joshi hospitalised September 20, 2006 10:00 IST
Legendary Hindustani classical singer Bhimsen Joshi was on Monday night admitted to a private hospital in Pune after complaining of illness. The 84-year-old has not been keeping well for the past few months. He has been admitted to the intensive care unit of the Sahyadri Hospital and is now stable, sources said. Last year, illness forced Joshi, who has been bound to a wheelchair for some time now, to stay away from the annual Sawai Gandharva festival that he organises in memory of his guru.
