Maharashtra Director General of Police P S Pasricha on Monday said that the officers investigating the Malegaon blasts probe had gained vital leads and expressed confidence that a breakthrough will be achieved soon.

Talking to reporters, Pasricha said the sketches of two suspects in the Malegaon blasts were released based on inputs given by the shopkeeper from whom the two new bicycles were purchased.

No arrests have been made so far, he added.

''The course of the investigations in Malegaon blasts is on the right track,'' he said.

When asked about the progress of investigations in the 7/11 Mumbai bomb blasts, Pasricha said, ''We are on the job. The total number of arrests made is ten.''
