Prof's death: NHRC notices MP govt

The National Human Rights Commission today served notice on the Madhya Pradesh government asking for a report into the death of Prof H S Sabharwal. Prof Sabharwal died of heart attack after being mobbed by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad activists in Ujjain on August 26. The matter has since snowballed, and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has expressed deep anguish over the incident.
