The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a petition filed by Andaleeb Sehgal seeking a stay on further action based on the report of Justice R S Pathak Inquiry Authority.

Justice Pathak had probed the Indian connection -- mainly that of former external affairs minister Natwar Singh and the Congress in the Iraqi oil-for-food scam.

The Pathak panel found that Andaleeb, the director of Hamadaan Exports, profited from the deal.

The Enforcement Directorate also questioned Andaleeb for his alleged involvement in the scam.

The Enforcement Directorate on Sunday issued show cause notices to Natwar, Jagat, Andaleeb and others for alleged irregularities in the scam.
