The 106-year-old voter of Ghaziabad

A 106-year-old woman, Gayatri Devi, one of the oldest voters in the district, cast her vote during the local bodies elections held in Ghaziabad on Saturday.

Gayatri, who according to family members had not missed a single election since independance, was accompanied by her eight sons and 17 grandsons to the polling booth at Pilakhuwa town, one of the six towns where polls where held.

Her eldest son Ramesh Kumar, 80, said Devi had never leaked the name of the candidate she had voted for.
