An armyman has been arrested while allegedly handing over sensitive defence-related classified documents to a Pakistani official.

Anil Kumar, a hawaldar working in the Army group insurance scheme, was arrested late Friday night from a south-west Delhi locality, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Alok Kumar said.

Kumar was handing over the documents to a Pakistani High Commission official at the time of his arrest, he said.

While the Pakistani official has been handed over to the High Commisison after completion of legal formalities, Kumar has been arrested under the National Security Act.
