Two explosions on Friday killed two boys and injured another in Kupwara and Rajouri districts of Jammu and Kashmir [Images].

Two boys were seriously injured when an improvised explosive device hidden by militants near a stream went off, officials said.

While eight-year-old Bilal Ahmad was declared dead on arrival at the Kupwara District Hospital, 15-year-old Showkat Ahmad was referred to the SKIMS hospital in a critical condition, they said.

In the incident at Rajouri, a boy, identified as Arif, picked up a tin glass-fitted IED, which went off killing the boy on the spot.
