The Supreme Court on Monday declined to give an early hearing to a petition seeking to set aside the election held for the Chennai Municipal Corporation on October 13.

A bench headed by Chief Justice Y K Sabharwal said the matter will be heard as and when it is listed for hearing.

Chennai-based advocate A M Mohan filed the petition. The opposition parties in Tamil Nadu have alleged that the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has indulged in rigging.
