Delhi: 2 LeT militants arrested October 16, 2006 09:53 IST
Two Lashker-e-Tayiba militants, belonging to Bangladesh, were arrested early Monday morning from Delhi's Old Railway Station with 1.5 kg of RDX, days ahead of Diwali and Id. The arrested were identified as Mohd Aslam Gir and Abdul Razaq, residents of Rajshahi district of Bangladesh, deputy commissioner of police (special cell) Alok Kumar told PTI. They were arrested on their arrival from Jammu by Pooja Express at around 0500 hours, he said, adding 1.5 kg of RDX were recovered from their possession. The arrest comes at a time when security in the capital is at an all-time high in view of the festive season.
