Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh has called on All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam supremo Jayalalithaa at her residence and discussed possibilities of both parties working together.

Though Singh described the visit on Tuesday night as a 'courtesy call', both the leaders were understood to have discussed the possible formation of a non-Congress, non-Bharatiya Janata Party government at the Centre 'on a long-term basis'.

They also discussed the modalities of working together in the Rajya Sabha, AIADMK sources said on Wednesday.
