October 10, 2006

The sword of the sixth Nizam -- Mahbub Ali Khan Bahadur Fath Jang Mahbub Ali Khan, who was famous for his excessive passion for clothes, as well for once being the owner of the Rs 400 crore Jacob diamond (which he sometimes used as a paperweight) -- is worth a special look.

Also not to be missed is the magnificent sword belonging to the Prince of Berar, Nawab Mir Himayat Ali Khan Azam Jah. The Prince of Berar was also the son of the seventh and last 'ruling' Nizam, one of the richest men in the world, who was given to very simple living.
