Kerala [Images] has not yet recieved any details of the package announced by Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss for prevention of diseases like chikungunya, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said on Tuesday.

"The state has not received any details of the package," he told the state Assembly in reply to a submission.

He said it was known only through media reports that the Union health minister had announced a package during his visit to chikungunya-hit areas in Alappuzha district.

Health Minister P K Sreemathi would take up the matter with the Centre during the State Health Ministers' conference to be convened in New Delhi on Wednesday, Achuthanandan added.

Ramadoss visited Alappuzha on October 6 and had announced a special package for the district.

"The Centre will supply fogging machines, mosquito nets and testing kits," he had announced.
