Tell us your bribery story!

October 06, 2006

A recent survey by Transparency International, a global anti-corruption group, listed India on top of its Bribe Payers Index 2006.

The report said India and China are most likely to pay bribes in order to win business contracts abroad among the 30 countries that were part of the survey.

The survey's results should come as no surprise to ordinary Indians for whom corruption and bribery are facts of everyday life.

So be it a minor traffic violation or getting a ration card, most of us have at one time or the other have had to grease a few palms to get our work done.

Have you bribed someone to get your work done? If so tell us.
