Rehaman, a small time Malayalam film and television actor, surrendered before G Venu, the Circle Inspector of the Ernakulam Central police station, who is also the investigating officer in the case. The Kerala High Court had on September 19 directed him to surrender on Tuesday. Rehaman is likely to be produced before Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Ernakulam.

Another main accused in the case, Shobha John, who had been arrested on August two along with two others, was recently released on bail by the High Court.

The case relates to the complaint filed by Thantri Kandararu Mohanararu of the famous Lord Ayyappa Temple that he was manhandled, forcibly photographed with a woman and threatened at a flat in Cochin on July 23.
