Sonia to visit Tirupati temple

Congress chief and United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi [Images] would visit the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala near Tirupati on Saturday.

During the four-hour trip to the temple town, Sonia would also address the annual summit of Akhila Bharatiya Rachanatmak Samaj, an NGO in Tirupati official sources told PTI.

About 20,000 delegates, including representatives of different NGOs across the country, freedom fighters and intellectuals, are expected to attend the summit. After having a darshan at the temple, Sonia would return straight to Delhi on November 25, they added.
