The government on Thursday approved increasing subsidised Haj travel quota to 1.1 lakh from the current one lakh pilgrims, besides adding more flights from India to Saudi Arabia this year.

As a result of the number of pilgrims going up by 10,000, number of flights too would be increased, Civil Aviation
Minister Praful Patel said after a Cabinet meeting.
