Dismissed Additional Sessions Judge V C Singh died of a heart attack on Wednesday, official sources said.

Singh had been suspended by the Bombay High Court and an internal enquiry instituted against him since 2002 following some complaints against him.

The exact nature of the complaints, is, however not known.

He was dismissed from service last month and an order of his dismissal was signed by joint secretary of the law and judiciary department of the state government S M Ratnakar on October 31, the sources said.

He died at his residence in Sion, central Mumbai early Wednesday morning.

Singh is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
