The President gets Your greetings

November 07, 2006

Greetings handed over to President's Press SecretaryA couple of days before President A P J Abdul Kalam turned 75 on October 15, rediff.com invited readers to send their best wishes on the occasion.

The message board was flooded and we got 4,756 responses.

In keeping with our promise that your wishes would be handed over to the President, rediff.com Senior Associate Editor Onkar Singh (left) handed over five bound volumes of your greetings to Mr S M Khan, the President's Press Secretary, at Rashtrapati Bhavan recently.

Mr Khan assures us that President Kalam is looking forward to reading them.
