The Delhi police on Wednesday filed a charge sheet in a city court accusing the management of Apollo Hospitals [Get Quote] and its six doctors of misleading the investigation into alleged drug abuse by Rahul Mahajan.

The charge sheet filed before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kamni Lau alleged that the doctors and the management of the hospital deliberately gave false information regarding the presence of toxic substances in the body of Rahul, the son of late Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan.

The police alleged that this was done with the intention of misleading the investigators.

The doctors who were charge sheeted are Anupam Sibal, Mukund Pandey, Abha Gupta, Prasad Rao, Avdesh Bansal and Ali Mohammad Gani.
